Live Zoom Calls for Each Section

Below are the weekly meeting times for the two sections of Crafting Your Scholarly Book. Recordings of the Monday/Tuesday meetings and the Q&A calls will be provided in the private forum for the workshop.

Section 1

Mondays: 11:00–12:00 am CDT (12:00–1:00 pm EDT, 9:00–10:00 am PDT, 5:00–6:00 pm GMT)

  • Introduction to workbook chapters for the week; sharing of challenges and discoveries from the previous week’s workbook exercises. I highly recommend attending live, but a recording of the session will be provided.

Wednesdays: 2:15–3:15 pm CDT (3:15–4:15 pm EDT, 12:00–1:15 pm PDT, 8:15–9:15 pm GMT)

  • Drop-in Q&A session. If you can’t attend live, you can email me questions to answer during the session; a recording of the session will be provided.

Fridays: 11:00–12:00 am CDT (12:00–1:00 pm EDT, 9:00–10:00 am PDT, 5:00–6:00 pm GMT)

  • Group coaching sessions on alternating weeks and co-writing sessions on alternate weeks (with the opportunity to ask me questions in the chat or in a breakout room).

Section 2 (times tailored to participants in East Asia, although anybody who prefers these times is welcome to enroll in this section)

Tuesdays: 8:30–9:30 am China Standard Time, 9:30–10:30 am Japan Standard Time (Mondays, 7:30–8:30 pm CDT, 8:30–9:30 pm EDT, 5:30–6:30 pm PDT)

  • Introduction to workbook chapters for the week; sharing of challenges and discoveries from the previous week’s workbook exercises. I highly recommend attending live, but a recording of the session will be provided.

Thursdays: 8:30–9:30 am China Standard Time, 9:30–10:30 am Japan Standard Time (Wednesdays, 7:30–8:30 pm CDT, 8:30–9:30 pm EDT, 5:30–6:30 pm PDT)

  • Group coaching sessions on alternating weeks and drop-in Q&A session on alternating weeks. Recordings of the Q&A sessions will be provided.

Because evenings are tricky for me (and this section will run in the evening my time), this section will not include the co-writing sessions and will include the Q&A session just every other week (on weeks without the coaching session). I will see whether participants would like to organize their own co-writing session. On weeks without a Q&A session, participants can submit questions in writing for me to answer during the Q&A session on Wednesday afternoon CDT, or ask me questions in the discussion forum.

Of course, any participants in this section who are in time zones that make it feasible to attend the Wednesday afternoon Q&A session or one of the Friday morning co-writing sessions are welcome to come to these sessions.
